The Rolling Stones and The Record Plant
The Record Plant studios were indeed significant for The Rolling Stones, particularly during the 1970s. One notable connection was during the recording sessions for their landmark album "Exile on Main St." in 1971.
Initially, the band set up a makeshift studio in a villa in the south of France to record the album. However, due to technical limitations and other challenges, they eventually relocated to the Record Plant in Los Angeles to complete the project.
The Record Plant provided a more professional and equipped environment for the band to finalize their recordings. Tracks like "Tumbling Dice" and "Happy" were among those recorded or finished at the Record Plant during these sessions.
Beyond "Exile on Main St.," The Rolling Stones used the Record Plant for various recording projects throughout their career. The studio's facilities and expertise allowed them to capture their signature sound with clarity and precision, contributing to the enduring legacy of the band's music.
